ROOMS AND PROCEDURE

The physical layout of rooms at MTKids Learning Centers take into account the fact that your child will eat, play and sleep in that room. The layout of the room has therefore tremendous impact on your child’s self-confidence and sense of comfort. Furthermore, a clean room also enables teachers effectively perform the duties entrusted to her/him. To get a feel on how our rooms are maintained, we strongly urge each parent to visit our facilities whenever time permits.

Food Regulations

The center provides breakfast, hot lunch from a caterer, and A PM snacks daily for the children. Our menus are planned to be nutritionally well balanced, attractive and appealing to the children. We require that you do not send your children to the center with foods and drinks. If by any reason, a parent decides to provide food for their child to share with classmates, it must be purchased, not home made. This is in accordance with both local and state health regulation laws. All children at the center will be given nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack  including milk, fresh fruits and vegetables. If a child has an allergy, a doctor ‘s note is required . Parents are to provide infant formula for the new born babies.

Playground/Outdoor Activities

We go outdoors everyday unless:

  • The temperature is less than 30 degrees Fahrenheit with the wind chill.
  • The heat index is above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • There is a steady rain, lightening, thunderstorm or tornado watch.
  • There is a wind advisory or ozone alert.

The length of outdoor time may be modified according to weather conditions.

Field Trips

Our field experiences are planned to enhance the Project work being done in the classroom. We often visit “experts” in our community to further explore our interests. Family members are always welcome to accompany us on any trips. As our finances allow, we go on field trips as a Center. A bus service, specializing in transporting children, is hired for these occasions. We  have an adult available for every two children on trips to more public and heavily populated locations. When you enroll your child, you will be asked to sign a form giving the center permission to take your child on walks in the neighborhood
